Basic Meditation (Meditation is for everyone; it has nothing to do with Religion) The purpose of meditation is to create a happy and peaceful life for yourself and your surroundings, and live with a healthy physical body and mind. To reach this purpose, you have to meditate to build up mind power to achieve a peaceful state of mind. Naturally, we already have our own mind power, which has been accumulated during sleep and rest each day and night. But because of our daily task like Work, School, Household, Family, and by Pollution and negative Messages and much more we have to deal with, this mind power has more or less been consumed. When the mind power is degenerated from excessive use day by day, it causes us to feel stressed, depressed, tired, sad etc. These are also the main causes of troublesome behaviors that ruined our physical and mental health which will also bother and cause trouble to other people all around. Therefore, we have to replenish our good mind power to a degree that we can control ourselves and prevent ourselves from stress, anxiety, headaches, depression, illness etc. That means, we should meditate in order to accumulate useful mind power and build good virtues, which brings peace to our self and our surroundings. Meditation is a way to train or exercise our mind so that we can carry out our daily activities efficiently and effectively and reduce mental disorder. Meditation will bring you a lot of advantages in your daily life like: - Improve Sleep, decrease Stress, increase Mind Power, increase Happiness, enhance your physical and mental Well-Being etc. To deepen their Meditation skills, Marianne and Eckard went twice to Thailand. Both where also invited as guests of honor to the World Meditation Day of World Peace (VISAKHA BUCHA) in May 2005 to Thailand and shared their Meditation experience with the Thai public. It was an unforgettable experience to meditate with thousands of people at the same time and feel the presents of a very powerful healing energy. Marianne and Eckard are very thankful to their Teacher Phra Tep Jetiyajarn Luangphor Viriyang Sirintharo, who is a Buddhist Monk from Thailand with 70 years of Meditation experience, for sharing his knowledge.
